Before your rental period

Our office is located in Nieuwegein and you can pick up your rental vehicle at our desk. At the other locations you can pick up the vehicle at the K&R parking lot of a train station. There is no physical office or counter at these pick-up points. A GoRoadtrip employee is present at the agreed times to hand out or take back your rental vehicle.

The rental price includes VAT, damage insurance, vehicle occupants insurance, extra drivers and road assistance. The rental price is exclusive of deposit, fuel and any extra options and extra kilometers.

As standard, 200 free kilometers are included per rental day for our vans, campers and passenger cars. For every extra kilometer driven, you pay € 0.21 extra for our passenger vans. An extra € 0.24 per kilometer applies for camper vans. Are you going to drive a lot? It is also possible to rent 100% kilometer-free / with unlimited mileage!

Yes, in addition to the payment of the rent, we ask for a €500,- deposit per van and €1000,- per campervan.

You can rent and drive a passenger van from us from the age of 18 and a camper from the age of 23. Without surcharges or driver’s license restrictions. Everyone is welcome to rent!

Additional drivers are included in the price. Anyone in your travel group with a valid driver’s license is allowed to drive the rented vehicle and is automatically insured.

To finalize your booking, we ask you to pay a down payment of 20% of the total rental price. You pay this down payment immediately after booking with iDeal. The remaining 80% rent and the €500,- deposit must be paid at least 7 days before departure.

All of our rental vehicles may be driven with a valdi Dutch B driver’s license. It is also possible to rent with a foreign driver’s license. As long as it is valid according to Dutch law.

You can book here. When you have completed the booking your booking will be processed no later than the next working day and you will receive the official rental agreement. Did something go wrong during the booking? Please contact our customer service.

Due to a daily changing schedule, we unfortunately cannot provide a license plate prior to the rental period.

During your trip

All of our vehicles are insured for damage. There is, however, an own risk of €850,- per damage claim for our passenger vans. You can lower your own risk to €325,- per damage claim. The standard own risk for our camper vans is € 1.500 per claim and cannot be lowered.

Yes, and this vehicle occupants insurance is included in the price. This applies to all vehicles that you rent from us. With this additional insurance you and your fellow passengers are insured against the financial consequences of a traffic accident.

 

Despite our careful maintenance, something can always happen on the road. There is a 24/7 breakdown assistance insurance with replacement transport included on all our rental vehicles. The emergency number and the procedure are described on the information sheet in the vehicle. A diagnosis must always be made by a garage before replacement transport is deployed. If the vehicle can be repaired, you must wait a maximum of 48 hours. Please note: If you need replacement transport abroad due to a breakdown, you may be asked for a credit card. Damage caused by a collision is not covered by breakdown cover.

For all environmental stickers or vignettes, you as the renter bear the responsibility for purchasing them in accordance with local regulations. It is possible to order a motorway vignette for Austria or Switzerland with us with the rental of your vehicle.

If a collision has occurred involving a counterparty, a European Damage Report Form must be completed. This form is located in the glove compartment of your rental vehicle. Nobody leaves before a fully completed form has been completed. All 15 sections must be completely fill in legibly, drawned and signed by both parties.

Also inform GoRoadtrip of the damage as soon as possible. Upon return, the fully completed European Damage Report form must be handed over to a GoRoadtrip employee.

If you cannot drive further the insurance will arrange that you and your travel group can get home.

With your rented bus or camper you will receive a copy of the registration certificate, insurance certificate and one car key. The original registration certificate and the spare key remain in the possession of GoRoadtrip.

After your trip

You get your remaining deposit back within 7 days after you returned the rental vehicle. In case of damage or not clean / fuel tank not full we can withhold (part of) your deposit.

We created our own unique condition report application for the check up of our vehicles when picked up or returned by you. Together with a GoRoadtrip employee the whole check-up of the vehicle is documented in the application. Furthermore our employee will add photo’s of the vehicle. The final condition report including the photo’s will be send to you directly by e-mail.

With our vans, campers and cars you can drive 200 free kilometers per renting day (for example: if you book 10 days you get 2.000 free kilometers), with the exception of the kilometer-free vehicles (these vehicles have unlimited kilometers). Do you want to drive further, you pay €0,21 per extra kilometer for our passenger vans and €0,24 per extra kilometer for camper vans. If you have actually driven more kilometers, we will deduct this amount from the deposit. You will find the settled amount in the final invoice, which you will receive by e-mail about a week after returning the vehicle.

When we receive a traffic fine we pay, process and send the fine to the main booker which name is on the rental agreement. The amount of the fine included with €15,- administration costs needs to be paid within 5 working days when received. Please be aware some foreign fines we receive months later.

Cancellation

You can cancel your booking within 24 hours before departure for free. All cancelations have to be done in written. You can contact us through info@goroadtrip.nl. Cancelation by phone is not possible. If you not pay the rent this does not count as a cancelation.

You can cancel your booking until 24 hours before departure for free. We refund all of your down payments. After that we charge you the whole rental price.

Do you want to speak to someone, you can call us on Monday through Friday between 08:00 and 18:00 on phone number (+31) 85 004 33 24. On Saturday and Sunday we are only opened on appointment.
